Toyota C-HR GR Sport Revealed – The Crossover India Needs

Toyota C-HR GR Sport has finally been unveiled for the European markets and while has received a number of vital visual upgrades, it has also got an updated suspension set up that promises to make it sportier to drive.

It is slated to be a crossover as the sport version first was first launched in Japan. However, so far, the hopes of the car coming to India has not yielded any visible results.

Now, the Toyota C-HR could well be the car through which the Japanese carmaker sits pretty in the sub-compact SUV segment in the country. It should be mentioned here that the company recently launched the Urban Cruiser here. This Urban Cruiser is based on the Vitara Brezza from Maruti Suzuki.

If we look at the features, on paper, there is plenty that is going in favour of the C-HR GR sport. It comes with 1.8-liter and 2.0-liter hybrid powertrains that are quite commendable. The GR Sport now offers improved body roll as well as pitch control. Also, it gets new tyres, shock absorbers as well as steering system that have all been tweaked and tuned for better and quicker responses.

We now take a look at the visual aspects, the Toyota C-HR GR Sport looks striking and it has made use of black accents in the headlight units, fog light housing as well as front grille. It sits on 19-inch wheels and also has a dual-tone color theme. The Ash Grey hue is specifically reserved for the GR Sport.

The cabin of the Toyota C-HR GR Sport is made of Alcantara upholstery and here you can see the GR logos which are splattered all over the place. The front seats are heated and so are the electric motors. Toyota is also offering a nine-speaker JBL sound system but this will come at an additional cost.
