Jaguar Land Rover has now announced that its performance SUV F-Pace SVR has finally received a facelift and with this, it will become faster and more dynamic as compared to the previous model. One of the most significant chance among these upgrades is that the model will now have a revised torque curve – and at 700 Nm, it has become three times faster even in short sprints.
The 2021 Jaguar F-Pace SVR finds its power from the supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine. This allows it to produce 550 horsepower. It also has an 8-speed automatic gearbox which remains the transmission of choice.
However, as per claims of Jaguar Land Rover, the improvements made to the torque figure by 20 Nm will go a long way in helping the SVR hit 100 kmph in just four seconds. It will also help it achieve a top speed of 286 kmph – which is a slight increase of 5 kmph when compared to the previous model.
“The original F-PACE SVR was incredibly characterful, well received by customers and has gone on to become the highest-selling Jaguar SV product ever. The new version builds on this success, by making numerous detailed improvements that combine to raise the bar in the high-performance SUV segment,” Michael van der Sande, Managing Director, Jaguar Special Vehicle Operations, said.
Apart from this, the steering wheel also gets a new electronic power-assistance system. Alongside these technical upgrades, the Jaguar F-Pace SVR has got modifications to the design. This design of the new F-Pace SVR has been enhanced with new apertures and vents which allows for improved powertrain as well as brake cooling.
As far as the interiors are concerned, this new F-Pace SVR has received several design tweaks. The seat and door inserts will now come with Alcantara finishing – and they have elements that include elements such as the central cubby as well as leather midroll which will be wrapped in luxurious Windsor leather.
