Bengaluru-based Pravaig Dynamics has introduced its first homegrown electric car with the promise and scope to take the EV game in India to the next level. The E startup officially rolled out the Extinction MK1 premium electric car, which is made in India, and which will be launched next year.
With this unveil, there have been a number of claims will keep the other EV manufacturers in India quite interested. For instance, they maintain that this electric car will have a range of more than 500 kms in single charge. It should be mentioned here that Tesla Model 3 performance variant claims to run 507 kms in single charge.
In India, however, the EV currently with the highest range is Hyundai Kona EV that has a range of 452 kms. MG ZS EV, which has a range 340 kms, is still a work in progress where it will be upgraded to a range of 500 kms. The Mercedes EQC, which has been recently launched, has a range of just 350 km.
Not only the range, Pravaig has also claimed that the Extinction MK1 will be able to recharge and replenish to about 80 per cent in only 30 minutes.
The car will get its power from the 96 kHw battery which has the ability to produce 200 hp of maximum power as well as a top speed of 196 kmph. Owing to this, it can zoom from zero to 100 kmph in just 5.4 seconds.
As far as the first impressions are concerned, this design does resemble the Lucid Air EVs. The coupe-like, futuristic design coupled with the LED bars on the front and the rear helps the car stand out in the crowd of competitions.
Pravaig has set its sights to produce around 250 units of the Extinction MK1 every year.
