It is no longer a secret as the industry knows that the 2021 Jeep Compass facelift has been under development for a while now. The prototype of the updated model has already been spied tested a couple of months ago. There are now the latest reports which suggest that the 2021 Jeep Compass facelift will be unveiled next month.
This updated Compass could come with subtle cosmetic upgrades on the outside as well as with an all-new revamped cabin rolled down from its elder siblings. As far as the exterior is concerned, this model will come with a new front fascia with sleeker LED headlamps, LED tail lamps. Also, there will be redesigned alloy wheels and tweaked front and rear bumpers.
However, the biggest highlight of the Compass facelift would be on the inside as it will come with an all-new cabin that sports a new leather-wrapped steering wheel, digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, larger infotainment system as well as fresh upholstery.
Apart from this, this model could also be equipped with advanced level two autonomous driving technologies that include highway assist, traffic sign recognition, traffic jam assists, lane keep assist, driver attention alert, and active blind-spot assist.
It should be mentioned here that as per reports, the Indian-spec model might not be replete with these autonomous advancements.
Taking the competition head-on, Jeep could bring in a new 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine with a manual and an automatic transmission. The powertrain on the current Jeep Compass comes with features of BS6 compliant with a 1.4-litre multi-air petrol engine and the 2.0-litre Multi-jet diesel engine.
Also, it will have the six-speed manual transmission which has become the norm for both the engine options. Here, with this model, the petrol gets a DCT unit while the diesel is mated to a nine-speed torque converter unit and will come with an all-wheel-drive configuration.
