Honda has always believed in staying ahead of the curve and the group has launched the special edition of its flagship offering CR-V as they anticipate a spurt in demand during the festive season. This special edition of the Honda CR- brings with it exterior revisions that are in line with the facelift. It has also added a number of new features.
There are several prominent changes which have been made to the exteriors of the Honda CR-V and these include a new bumper with a more angular design as well as a reworked grille that is now primarily finished in gloss black. There are new 18-inch alloy wheels on offer there is a tweaked bumper towards the rear. These updates to the bumpers have added 39mm to the CR-V's overall length.
There are also additions made to the features list and this includes LED headlights with active cornering lights, front parking sensors as well as auto-retractable door mirrors. Now, with the introduction of the CR-V Special Edition, Honda has also addressed shortcomings of the model. The front passenger seat is 4-way electrically adjustable and there is the boot, which has not got hands-free operation as well.
Earlier this year, the transition to BS6 resulted in Honda dropping the diesel variant of the CR-V from the line-up. As things stand now, the only engine option available is a 2.0-litre petrol which has 154bhp and max power and 189Nm of peak torque. The diesel variant comes with 4WD and a seven-seat layout so that's also gone now.
As per the official Honda website, this Honda CR-V Special Edition is priced at Rs 29,49,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The regular petrol variant minus the added features is listed at Rs 28,27,001 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which effectively means that a price difference of Rs 1,22,998.
