Hennessey Venom F5 Hyper Claims To Be Fastest Road Car

Hennessey's Venom F5 has made claims about being the world’s fastest production car. The company says that the performance car has the ability to reach a top speed of around 311-mph (500 kilometers per hour). There are also claims made which says that it can go from zero-to-62-mph time in just 2.6 seconds.

Venom F5 will draw all its power by a rear-mid-mounted 6.6-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine which will be able to generate 1,817 hp at 8,000 rpm. The rear-wheel drive car has a weight of 1,360 kg and this gives it a power-to-weight ratio of 1.34 hp-per-kg. The company goes on to say that the power and lightweight construction is perfect to set a new speed record.

This car has been revamped with new design, there is a new chassis as well as carbon fiber which is focused on aerodynamics and using this, it achieves the lowest possible drag. This carbon-fiber helps in reducing the weight of the car. It also enhances the safety of the occupants when there is an accident. Apart from this, there will be five drive modes on the F5 – Sport, Track, Drag, Wet, and F5.

The interior is focused on drivers and it bears an uncanny resemblance to the cockpits of any aircraft. The space does not have too many distractions and hence, it promotes maximum driver visibility, tactility and functionality. 

The other features include leather panels on the doors, dashboard and seats. The steering wheel has a blend of carbon fibre and it is inspired by F1 racing cars. And there is also a 7.0-inch instrument display cluster. One can also get access to Apple Car Play and Android Auto and there is satellite navigation, stereo functionality as well as Bluetooth phone pairing.
