Audi India is placing its bets in its latest A4 sedan as it looks to lock horns with fellow German rivals Mercedes-Benz and BMW in the luxury car segment. This car has hit the production lines and is expected to be rolled out early next year.
For Audi, this year was all about the SUVs and it launched Q8, RS Q8 and Q2 right through the year and the company is looking to target another segment with 2021 A4. For a long time, A4 has been the mainstay of Audi's sedan lineup in India and this latest edition will make the market really interesting.
With this launch, the A4 will once again be locked in a battle with Mercedes C-Class, BMW 3 Series, Jaguar XE. There will also be competition from new Volvo S60 which will be open for bookings in January and will be rolled out for the Indian market.
If reports are to be believed, this new Audi A4 appears seems to have ticked all the boxes for it to be a force to reckon with. It will have more visual appeal – there will be a re-designed head light unit, sculpted bumpers. On the rear, it will come with exhausts. Also, this new model will sit on 19-inch alloys on the S variant. The other variants will come with either a 17-inch or 18-inch wheel.
One also expects Audi to make upgradation to the cabin which will make the A4 more contemporary. There will be focus on petrol and this could translate into a sporty - 2.0-litre TFSI motor that will come with a 12V mild-hybrid system. Apart from this, this will also be coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission unit.
