MG Motor India has now launched a Hector 2021 as well as the seven-seat version of Hector Plus in the Indian car market. Now, the company has already launched the ZS EV as well as the Gloster premium SUV, Hector – which was its maiden product for the Indian market.
Hector was first launched when MG entered India back in 2018. Hector 2021 built on the strength of the first model and now, it has a new thermopressed front grille, a grey-coloured front and rear skid plate. It also has a non-reflective strip that connects the two tail lights.
However, there is one impediment – there is the car's large frame that sits on 17-inch alloy wheels which appeared tinier than they actually were. MG has eliminated this and this new Hector will be getting an 18-inch wheels.
There is much to like on the inside of Hector 2021 too. Now, there is an option of going for an all-black colour theme, and well, this always will be the preferred option. The SUV will come with the market as the first in the market which will offer 'Hinglish' voice recognition.
There are ambient lights which have been added to all the four doors of the car and MG says the amount of cushioning on all seats have all been increased which will enhance the level of comfort inside. And, the front seats are ventilated while compatible phones can be charged wirelessly.
As far as the price of Hector 2021 is concerned, it comes with a starting price of ₹12.89 lakh for Style variant with 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine and also manual transmission – it can go up to ₹18.32 lakh for Sharp variant with 2.0-litre diesel turbo with manual.
And there is a hyrbid petrol on offer in Super, Smart and Sharp variants. There will be dual-tone variants and they will be priced at ₹20,000 over the base variant prices which have been mentioned here.
